This Louis Vuitton cabin trunk from around 1910 is covered in the iconic stenciled canvas and finished with luxury leather trim and brass hardware, including three Louis Vuitton Paris locks and two original side handles in excellent condition. Each side is marked with a red painted cross and the name “TIERS,” a personalized detail typical of bespoke orders from the period, echoing similar trunks that traveled through grand hotels across France and Italy.
The interior is lined in cotton canvas with a padded lid and retains its original Louis Vuitton label listing the historic rue Scribe store in Paris, closed in 1912. With its beautiful patina and elegant proportions, this trunk perfectly captures the essence of Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship and the golden age of travel.
