The Courier Trunk from Louis Vuitton circa 1904 is crafted in rare woven jacquard canvas, produced only between 1896 and 1904, and remarkably retains its original protective cover. The canvas has never been exposed to light, preserving its original color and texture, while the interior remains intact with three original trays, padded lining, fabric, organizing ribbons, and the original key. Red-painted initials, a star emblem, and steel borders with rich patina complete the exterior, placing this trunk among the finest surviving examples of Louis Vuitton’s jacquard period.
