1929 BAUHAUS TELEPHONE

Price upon requestFINAL SALE

1929 "Bauhaus Telefon" originated in Germany from a post-WW1 affordable housing project known as the "New Frankfurt". The clean and simplistic design aligns with the modernist design principles set forward by the Bauhaus school. Constructed with black metal and Bakelite, the design of this vintage rotary phone has been attributed to Richard Schadewell and Marcel Breuer, although its official design origins remain a mystery.
